What to Expect
At Paramount Pediatric Dentistry we agree with the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) to establish a dental home for your child by one year of age.
We aim to make your child’s first visit a positive and enjoyable experience. We strongly believe that positive experiences at a young age will equate to a good relationship with the dental office in the future.
At the first visit, we will show your child any instruments or equipment used in an age appropriate manner. Our goals are to make your child feel completely safe and comfortable while providing any care that is necessary. We ask that in order to facilitate us in creating a positive environment that you refrain from using any words that may cause unnecessary worry or fear, such as “shot,” “pull,” or “hurt.” Together, with you, we hope to have a successful and happy first experience with the dentist.
